The Theory of Numbers

Another theory of how the text is constructed is that the glyphs represent numbers, and that the words are formulae in the numbers. A closely related theory is that the gallows glyphs are to be interpreted in a similar way to the Roman numerals, those that stand for L (50), C (100), M(1000) and so on. So, in this theory of numbers, each word is an expression whose value can be calculated. To take a concrete example, let's look at one of the cipher key folios, f66r, again:
